I forgot to take screens of it but this is roughly what happened while we attempted to the bonus in Abbadons Mouth..
Monk: Wow you die a lot..
Me: Yes I know, normally i don't die that much though..
5 mins later...
Me: Oh I found out why i die so much..
Me: This armor is not infused.. ><
Monk: LAWL
Monk has left the game
Ranger: Seriously did our monk just leave?
Me: Yeah.. that's kinda stupid though.. mean.. it happens..
I so forgot to wear my infused armor in that mission.. felt so silly after xD

[B]empathy and backfire don't belong on monks either. 10nrg and 15nrg waisted, gfg. Not to mention you could have 10 divine favour instead of 10 domination, to actually heal more ...
Mo/Me is good, if you use that Me secondary for energy management, not to try and do some damage. Leave that to the rest of the team ...
|
I know, but I have to be able to do some damage, or if theres a team wipe, and the mobs arent going away, I wont be able to rez, because I cant get rid of the mobs, and we have to restart. TOTALLY disagree with you there. Backfire is cast first, so tanks can get in close(I prefer to cast along with a primary Me on different targets. Empathy is always good to use on melee mobs, because when the attack me(as almost always happens), theyre making it easier for them to be taken out. Until I saw your post, I had forgotten I DID have 10 DF. lol Silly me. Im NOT trying to act as a primary damage dealer at all, I just like having more than healing available so that Im not totally dependant on others for survival(interrupts, just plain too much incoming damage, ect). Britnie, so sorry, but Ive used a builod very similar to, that before I got my elites, been using same build with very good results since I was able to use it. Cant suck if it works well. Destro, I really hate to tell you this, but I NEVER use the "pre-builds" Actually, havent even looked at any(Im assuming that theyre on Wiki, just havent looked). I make my own decisions about skills, and dont use a cookie cutter build. Ive no problem with those who do, but its not something Ill do. Id suggest you 3 not party with me, because the build works for me, it stays, and if I feel the need to change for current quest/situation/whatever, I will.

It's called Rebirth. Works well in PvE. You should try it sometime. By your logic, bringing Rebirth would than allow you to drop empathy and backfire letting you put points in more important attributes.

By my logic? No idea what you mean by that. Not how I play it. I dont try to max out anything usually, instead going for a balanced build that seems appropriate for the quest/misssion/ect.

As I said, Backfire goes first, tanks get in close, if they get hexed, I pull it, damaging whatever theyre fighting, allowing them to kill it faster, hopefully. Breeze is for combating degen, not heals.
Faer, I cant remeber the last time I used Bane Signet. Hell, I almost never smite unless in Kryta, for the undead. Of course, if expecting to fight mob(s) that summon things, Ill take smite then. Or if teamed with someone that has a skill trigged or has to be used on a HD'd foe.
Dont know why you people cant see these things.

Needs to be moved to Campfire imo! So l337 let other players see!!!
What Phantom meant was you said you have to restart IF the mobs don't leave. Rebirth allows you to rez a team member froma safe distance without agrooing the enemies. Your team member is safely rezed at your location. That means you don't agroo the mobs.
Next, you are a MONK, you don't do damage, you are there to heal party members and keep them alive. If you want to do damage like that go Mesmer primary, instead of Monk. Monks are meant to HEAL. Sure they have smite skills, but those are used normally for soloing and for fun in PvP. (aka RA and AB) So bringing energy draining skills such as Reverse Hex, is dumb as Revealed or Inspired Hex removes a hex on your ally. Backfire and Empathy are just taking up room on your skill bar for better skills. Such as Dwaynas Kiss, which gives an extra healing boost to allies under the effects of hexes. Or even Word of Comfort, extra healing boost to allies under the effects of a condition. Even a powerful hard heal, such as Heal Other would be good, even though it requires 10e.
As for what Faer said, he was being sarcastic. >.>

Im well aware of what Rebirth does.
Not trying to do anything more than minor damage assistance, healing is far and away the primary objective. Or for fighting undead and/or summoned mobs, smites good for that too. I dont PvP though, so that doesnt apply to me. I dont re4ally care for Inspired Hex, mostly because of the recharge, and that its locked for 20 seconds. If Im expecting alot of conditions and such in the area Im going to be in, I will likely take Dwaynas, for the reasons you mention, but not as a regular part of my build. I take heal other fairly often, actually, Im not "locked into" the build I posted, I take what seems appropriate for the types of mobs Ill be facing. Sarcasm meters in the shop, its taken quite a beating lately.
The build I posted is a base, and is adjusted as necessary, but that ones done me no wrong so far(that one was for Abbadons Mouth, btw).

Can always take Deny Hexes, add points to Divine Favor. 5e skill only a 12 sec recharge as compared to a 20 for Inspire and Reveal. There are plenty of ways around hexes, just have to be creative.

Shatter hex is too much energy among the bad non-monk job mesmer spells you brought for your little damage. I really don't believe you've had "a good experience" with that build in the Ring of Fire. Mend ailment... for Prophecies only it's the best you got. Good job there.
Healing breeze is for countering degen eh? Just get rid of the condition/hex or just use a powerful heal like dwayna's kiss to counter the degen better. Healing breeze is very inneffective. I don't see why you can't see it. Pm me for more discussions.
